Numerous joints need to be bolted together during the erection and disassembly of a tower crane. The stability of the tower crane is dependent on the integrity of its bolted sections. The precise application of torque is critical to ensure the tower crane’s stability.

Solution

An Enerpac S6000 hydraulic torque wrench delivered precise torque output during the assembly of tower crane sections. Powered by a ZU4 torque wrench pump, the S-Series torque wrench ensured each section was constructed with the utmost stability. Compared to manual assembly and disassembly, Streif’s service team saved a significant amount of time using a hydraulic torque wrench.
