The “BoltRight” programme is designed to assist engineers, in the Oil, Gas and Petro-Chemical industries, by calculating accurate bolt torque and tension figures for a wide variety of bolted joints in pipelines, compressors, condensers, heat exchangers etc… Suitable for running on the Microsoft Windows operating systems the programme allows the user to input key joint data i.e. flange class and size, operating temperature, bolt material and size, gasket material and type, thread lubricant (for torquing) along with the applicable friction coefficient, and the load loss factor (LLF) when using hydraulic stud bolt tensioners.

The BoltRight programme also allows the user to generate a bolt torque or bolt tensioning procedure, dependant on the method of tightening selected, and options to print or store this traceable procedure within the PC. The procedure can also include critical joint information such as location, joint tag reference, organization details and person carrying out the bolt tightening work. A Hi-Force recommended bolt tightening procedure using Hi-Force bolting tools is also included in the report.
